In addition to providing information about NGOs in India, the portal will enable the user community to contribute content, share information and collaborate effectively.The portal provides a facility for grassroot level Non-Governmental organizations to build to their own website with the portal. The NGOs can add their profile, make appeals, post events and jobs. They can also maintain their own blog, invite members to update the content, connect to volunteers and funding agencies. Content from the portal will also be extractable using spatial and topical filters, making it useful to a wide range of publishers.
